Every year for the last 9 of our 11 Christmases together we have been getting our Christmas tree from a farm. We always go the weekend of Thanksgiving and cut it down ourselves. It's one of our most memorable traditions, through the years we have really come to love this time.
This year was special because we got to share it with our precious blessing from above, Seth. We went out on Sunday, it was a bit overcast but dry and it was cold but not freezing at 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Seth was bundled up in his wool one piece outfit and fur lined hat. We got some hot cocoa and then headed out to look.
For the last few years we've chosen to get our tree from Martin's Christmas Tree farm in Damascus. They are just such a great establishment with the nicest people ever and of course their tree selection is amazing. Also the price is per tree type not height and since we have tall ceilings we usually get a pretty tall tree so it would suck having to pay by height.
We had a blast this year. I could tell Seth loved it because he was all smile even though his little fingers were frozen by the time we finished our search and got back to the car. Once we were on the road he was asleep within seconds. It was a wonderful experience and with my brother's direction and help the tree turned out amazing. Here are some photos from our adventure.
